Hammer Corp Review - What I Found After a 9-Page Setup
Why dealerships should be skeptical of bold AI claims

What Hammer Corp Says It Does
Hammer Corp promotes itself as the all-in-one AI chat solution for dealerships.
They claim the bot can:
• Answer buyer questions instantly
• Run across Messenger, Marketplace, texting, and website chat
• Capture leads and filter out bad ones
• Provide after hours coverage so no lead is missed
On paper, that looks powerful for dealerships.
My Experience
Here is what happened when I tried to see Hammer in action.
The sign-up required filling out a nine page form. It asked for dealership info, financing details, and even the “personality” I wanted the chatbot to have.
At the end of that process, the platform asked for a credit card for $599 a month without explaining clearly what that included.
There was no demo of the bot, no confirmation email, and no option to schedule a call.
Even more surprising, Hammer does not showcase its own chatbot on its website. There are no demo cars or live examples to test. Instead, they rely on human made videos and nonstop human cold calling to dealers.
If AI is supposed to replace your BDC, shouldn’t we at least be able to see it work?
Where Hammer Might Be Useful
Hammer’s vision is not without value. Having AI respond across multiple channels, capture leads after hours, and log activity in one dashboard could help independents tighten up their follow-up.
Hammer also includes marketing tools, which may be their actual main business. This includes posting on Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace and OfferUp. Running paid ads and an analytical dashboard. No pricing can be found on their website, so again you may need to speak to a human to inquire about these services.
Where Dealers Should Be Cautious
No live demo is a major red flag
Price at $599 a month is high for independents without transparency on inclusions
AI chat is not ready for complex conversations like trade-ins, financing, or overcoming objections
Bottom Line
Hammer Corp may sound exciting, but right now it feels like more pitch than product. AI chatbots can be useful as assistants for faster replies and after-hours coverage, but they are not replacements for a BDC. Independent dealers should ask for proof before handing over credit cards.
Have you tried Hammer Corp or another AI chatbot? Did it deliver what was promised? Hit reply and let me know.
